Originally built in 1868, the building became a hotel after a £750,000 refurbishment in 1986. It featured luxury suites and a restaurant with a legal theme, where diners received "verdicts" instead of bills. The Trials Hotel closed and was later transformed into a boutique hotel. In 2016, it reopened as Neighbourhood, offering a new dining experience with a focus on breakfast and live music.
