Imran Khan seeks conviction suspension in corruption case
Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to suspend their conviction in a £190 million corruption case. They argue that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) acted improperly and rushed the verdict. The petition claims NAB did not obtain key evidence from the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) and failed to include NCA officials in the investigation. It also states that the prosecution lacked substantial evidence against them. Khan and Bibi are seeking bail until the court makes a final decision on their appeal. They have committed to cooperating fully with the legal process.
