India approves Chandrayaan-5 mission with Japan collaboration
The Indian government has approved the Chandrayaan-5 mission, according to ISRO Chairman V Narayanan. This mission will collaborate with Japan and will carry a 250 kg rover to study the Moon's surface. Chandrayaan-5 follows previous missions, including Chandrayaan-3, which successfully landed on the Moon in August 2023. The new mission aims to enhance lunar exploration capabilities. Narayanan also mentioned future projects, including the Chandrayaan-4 mission, expected in 2027, and plans for India's own space station.
