India approves five semiconductor units, boosting manufacturing jobs

The India Semiconductor Mission has approved five semiconductor units with a total investment of ₹76,000 crore ($9.2 billion). Key projects include Micron Technology's $2.75 billion facility in Gujarat, Tata Electronics' ₹91,000 crore fab, and Kaynes Semicon's ₹3,307 crore OSAT unit. These initiatives are expected to create 20,000 direct and 60,000 indirect jobs, enhancing India's semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
