India becomes fourth country to dock two satellites in space

India successfully docked two satellites in space on Thursday, becoming the fourth country to achieve this feat. The satellites, launched in December, were maneuvered together in a precise operation by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). This mission follows two previous postponements due to technical issues. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the achievement, highlighting its significance for India's future space ambitions, including plans for a space station by 2035 and a moon landing by 2040. India has been active in space research since the 1960s, successfully launching satellites and achieving notable milestones, such as placing a spacecraft in orbit around Mars in 2014 and landing near the moon's south pole in 2023.
