India focuses on AI and technology skills development

India is making significant investments in artificial intelligence, according to Dr. Udaysankar Puranik, an expert in cybersecurity and AI. He spoke at a national symposium at Kodagu University in Kushalnagar. Dr. Puranik highlighted that the country has over 50 lakh job openings in cybersecurity. He mentioned that higher education is not always necessary for these positions. Instead, aspiring workers should focus on developing the right skills. He encouraged students and young people to embrace technological advancements. Dr. Puranik stressed that technology can improve lives, suggesting that even farmers should have access to modern information regarding weather and crops through their mobile devices. The expert urged students to keep updating their tech knowledge to improve their job prospects. The symposium was attended by Ashok Sangappa, the vice-chancellor of Kodagu University.
