Mercedes-Maybach is seeing significant growth in India, with sales increasing by 140 percent last year. Head of Mercedes-Maybach, Daniel Lescow, believes India has the potential to become one of the top five markets for Maybach globally. Sales in India surpassed 500 units in the previous year, indicating a rising demand for luxury vehicles. Lescow remarked that India is already among the top ten global markets for Maybach. He explained that the country’s evolving luxury market could boost sales further. Currently, the largest markets for Maybach are China, the US, and South Korea. To enhance its presence, Mercedes-Maybach is introducing the Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in India, which will cost around Rs 4.2 crore. This model features a powerful 4.0-liter V8 engine and can reach a top speed of 260 km/h. Deliveries for this new model are expected to start early next year. Additionally, the company plans to increase brand awareness in India with initiatives like exclusive lounges. There is already a dedicated lounge in Hyderabad, and more may be opened soon. Last year, Mercedes-Benz sold about 21,000 Maybach units worldwide, showing strong global demand.
