India submits bid to host 2036 Olympics and Paralympics
India has officially expressed its interest in hosting the 2036 Olympics and Paralympics. The Indian Olympic Association submitted a Letter of Intent to the International Olympic Committee on October 1, marking a significant step in this effort.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the importance of this bid, highlighting the potential benefits for economic growth and youth empowerment. India is among ten countries that have shown interest in hosting the Games.
The International Olympic Committee will conduct a detailed selection process for the host country. Other interested nations include Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, Poland, Egypt, and South Korea.
