India uniquely engages both Russia and Ukraine diplomatically

At a recent event, India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar highlighted India's unique position in global diplomacy. He stated that India is one of the few countries able to engage with both Russia and Ukraine, as well as nations like Israel and Iran. Dr. Jaishankar emphasized that India's foreign policy is guided by the principle of 'Sabka saath, Sabka Vikaas,' which means "together with all, development for all." He noted that this principle also applies to India's relationships with other countries. He explained that in today's polarized world, India engages with a variety of groups, such as BRICS and QUAD, and has participated in numerous initiatives addressing different global issues like renewable energy and disaster resilience. The minister pointed out that India's neutral stance in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict sets it apart from Western countries. He stressed that India advocates for peace and has maintained crucial strategic ties with Iran for oil while also receiving defense supplies from Israel. Overall, Dr. Jaishankar's comments reflect India's commitment to balancing its international relations amid complex global challenges.
