Indian Air Force shoots down Chinese spy balloon target with Rafale jet

The Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully shot down a Chinese spy balloon-type target using a Rafale fighter jet. This trial took place at an altitude of over 55,000 feet along the eastern front. Previously, the IAF had been discussing strategies to address the challenge posed by high-altitude surveillance balloons. They also collaborated with the American Air Force last year on this issue. The IAF is now preparing standard operating procedures to respond to future aerial surveillance threats.
