Indian carmakers launch new black edition SUVs
Many car buyers in India are looking for exclusive options, leading to the release of special editions of SUVs. Black is becoming a popular color choice. A study found that 19.5% of car buyers preferred black in 2023, up from 14.8% in 2021. Several manufacturers are now offering black-themed SUVs. Here are some notable options: Mahindra has released the XUV700 Ebony Edition. It features a Stealth Black paint job and several stylish updates, including brushed silver skid plates and black alloy wheels. The price ranges from ₹19.64 lakh to ₹24.14 lakh. Tata has introduced the Harrier and Safari Stealth Editions to celebrate 27 years of the Safari name. These limited editions come with a matte black exterior and dark-themed interiors. The Harrier is priced at ₹25.09 lakh, while the Safari costs ₹25.74 lakh. The Mahindra Scorpio-N Carbon Edition also joins this trend with an all-black look and a rugged appearance. Its price is between ₹18.99 lakh and ₹24.69 lakh. MG Motor has launched the Hector Blackstorm Edition, which has a Starry-black exterior and unique red accents. This model ranges from ₹22.13 lakh to ₹22.56 lakh. Finally, Honda has introduced the Elevate Black Edition and Signature Black Edition. The Black Edition features a Crystal Black Pearl color and elegant interior designs. These models are priced from ₹15.51 lakh to ₹16.93 lakh.
