Indian cyclists set new national record in Turkey

David Beckham, Esow Alben, and Rojit Singh set a new national record in the men’s team sprint at the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup in Konya, Turkey. They finished the event in 44.187 seconds, improving on the previous record of 44.451 seconds. The competition took place from March 14 to 16. Despite their record-setting performance, the Indian team ranked 11th overall. Great Britain won gold, followed by Japan and Australia for silver and bronze. Beckham previously won bronze at the 2022 Asian Track Cycling Championships and made history at the 2023 Asian Games by reaching the quarterfinals in a sprint event.
