Indian Navy commissions three new warships in Mumbai
Three Indian Navy warships, INS Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer, were commissioned in Mumbai on Wednesday. INS Nilgiri is a new stealth frigate, improving on previous designs with advanced technology. INS Surat is a destroyer that enhances the Navy's surface fleet, while INS Vaghsheer is a submarine designed for various combat roles. All three ships were designed and built in India, showcasing the country's growing expertise in defense production. They are now fully operational after extensive trials.
