Indiana Fever part ways with coach Christie Sides after two seasons
The Indiana Fever have fired coach Christie Sides after two seasons. Sides had a record of 33-47, including a 20-20 season this year. The team reached the playoffs but was eliminated in the first round. Indiana is the sixth WNBA team to change coaches this offseason, joining Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, and Los Angeles. All the dismissed coaches had three years or less of experience. The Fever's new coach will inherit a young core, including recent Rookie of the Year winners Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston. The team has struggled with coaching stability, as no head coach has lasted more than three years since 2014.
