IndyCar plans helmet cameras for four races in 2025 season

IndyCar plans to introduce helmet cameras, called Drivers’ Eye, during four races in 2025. This is a change from earlier expectations of using them for the entire 17-race season. The decision to limit the use of these cameras is due to the new broadcast partnership with FOX Sports. The series aims to complete initial races before fully implementing the feature. Testing of the camera system may occur during practice at the Acura Long Beach Grand Prix in April. The first live use is expected at either Barber Motorsports Park or the Indianapolis Grand Prix before the Indianapolis 500.
