A social media influencer, Summer Wheaton, is being sued for wrongful death after a crash on July 4th in Malibu that killed rideshare driver Martin Okeke. The lawsuit claims Wheaton was intoxicated during the incident. The crash occurred when Wheaton's Mercedes-Benz crossed the center median on Pacific Coast Highway and collided with Okeke's vehicle. Okeke died at the scene. Wheaton, who has over 100,000 Instagram followers, recently spoke out for the first time, promoting a journal she created. City officials had previously denied Nobu restaurant a permit for the event Wheaton attended due to safety concerns.
