Inquest opens into death of schoolboy fatally stabbed on London bus

An inquest into the death of 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa, who was fatally stabbed on a London bus, was opened and adjourned on Friday. The incident occurred on January 7 as Kelyan was returning home from school. Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee reported that Kelyan was attacked shortly after two male suspects boarded the bus. Despite efforts from passengers and the bus driver to seek help, Kelyan died at the scene from a stab wound. Two boys, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with Kelyan's murder and are set to appear in court on Monday. A woman arrested for assisting an offender has been released under investigation.
