Intel's Core Ultra 200S iGPU offers significant gaming boost over previous generation
Intel's new Core Ultra 200S "Arrow Lake" CPUs feature an integrated graphics unit (iGPU) that significantly improves gaming performance compared to previous generations. The iGPU, based on the Arc Alchemist architecture, can deliver up to 60 frames per second at 1080p in many games. Benchmarks show the iGPU on the Core Ultra 9 285K matches the performance of the GTX 1050 Ti, scoring 2288 in 3DMark Time Spy. This marks a notable advancement, as the iGPU can handle various games at satisfactory frame rates on medium settings. Despite these improvements, the Core Ultra 200S still falls short compared to AMD's Ryzen 8000G chips. While the iGPU is a step forward, users seeking high performance may still prefer discrete graphics cards for better gaming experiences.
