Inter Milan targets midfielder Nico Paz, faces Real Madrid competition
Inter Milan is eager to sign Argentine midfielder Nico Paz after his impressive season with Como in Serie A. However, their chances of landing him depend on Real Madrid's actions. Paz, who moved to Como in 2024 from Real Madrid, has caught the attention of Inter as they look for a young talent to support their strikers. Real Madrid holds an option to re-sign Paz for €9 million this summer, with an additional €1 million per season until 2027. Currently, Real Madrid is considering bringing the 20-year-old back, especially after his successful development under coach Cesc Fabregas at Como. To secure Paz, Inter must negotiate with Real Madrid first. They could explore options for a loan or pay a significant transfer fee, hoping Madrid won’t exercise their option soon. Como also hopes to keep Paz and may offer up to €25 million for him. Inter is optimistic, as the relationship between club President Javier Zanetti and Paz's father, Pablo, may help them in their pursuit. Zanetti and Pablo played together for Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.
