The investigation, led by MegaLag, found that Honey sometimes fails to apply the best coupon codes available. Users may miss out on better deals when using the extension, contradicting its promise to find the best discounts. Additionally, Honey reportedly deletes affiliate link cookies from influencers, preventing them from earning commissions. This practice allows Honey to take a portion of the revenue instead. PayPal has not commented on the allegations regarding coupon code limitations.
