Ion Beam Applications reports increased revenue but lower margins
Ion Beam Applications SA held its fourth-quarter earnings call on March 20, 2025. The call was led by Thomas Pevenage, Head of Investor Relations, alongside CEO Olivier Legrain and Deputy CEO Henri de Romrée. In his opening remarks, Pevenage mentioned changes to their revenue reporting methods. These adjustments, based on a new application of IFRS 15, have resulted in increased reported revenues and cost of goods sold. However, this change has also led to a decrease in gross margin and REBIT’s margin percentage. The company has restated its 2023 financial numbers to reflect this new reporting method. Legrain outlined the agenda for the call. He indicated that they would first highlight key aspects of 2024. The discussion would cover the company’s business activities and their financial results for the year. Legrain emphasized that IBA is focusing on transforming its operations to improve performance. The call would also address their financial methodology changes and conclude with an updated outlook and guidance for the future.
