iPhone 16e outperforms iPhone 16 in speed, battery
The new iPhone 16e is making waves as the most affordable model in Apple’s lineup. A recent study shows that it outperforms the more expensive iPhone 16 in several areas. This new device features a modem called the Apple C1, which is made by Apple. This is different from the Qualcomm modem used in other iPhone models. According to Ookla, a company that tracks network performance, the iPhone 16e had better performance than the iPhone 16 between March 1 and March 12. Both the iPhone 16e and iPhone 16 have similar designs and the same processor. However, the iPhone 16e does not support a very fast frequency known as mmWave. This limits its performance in some areas. Despite this, the iPhone 16e showed better download speeds for users on AT&T and Verizon networks. For T-Mobile users, however, the results were not as strong. Ookla found that when comparing the lowest download speeds, iPhone 16e users experienced faster speeds than iPhone 16 users across all three major mobile providers. Additionally, the iPhone 16e consistently outperformed the iPhone 16 in upload speeds, especially for Verizon and AT&T users. The study also highlighted that the iPhone 16e has impressive battery life, surpassing that of the iPhone 16. While these findings may not immediately convince buyers, they offer interesting insights into Apple’s latest affordable model.
