IPL 2025 auction to feature 84 players on first day in Jeddah

The IPL 2025 mega auction will feature 84 players on its first day, starting at 3:30 PM IST in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The auction will cover 12 sets of players, with the remaining players auctioned on the second day. New guidelines from the BCCI allow franchises to raise bids using right-to-match cards without needing to use rounded figures. There are 14 RTM cards available among the ten franchises. The auction will begin with two Marquee Sets, including players like Jos Buttler and Rishabh Pant. After a lunch break, capped batters will be auctioned, followed by all-rounders, wicketkeepers, and capped bowlers. Uncapped players will be auctioned on the second day.
