IPL 2025 auction to reintroduce Right to Match card with new rules
The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction will reintroduce the Right to Match (RTM) card after a seven-year absence. The auction is set for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, featuring notable players like Jos Buttler and Rishabh Pant. This year's RTM card allows teams to bid again for players they previously lost, differing from past auctions. Previously, teams could only match the sold price, but now they can increase their bid to any amount. Out of the 10 teams, eight have at least one RTM available. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have no RTMs left, while Punjab Kings have four, all for capped players.
