IPL 2025 features over 170 commentators across languages
IPL 2025 is set to feature more than 170 commentators from various backgrounds, including former champions and World Cup winners. The event will be broadcasted live on JioStar, the official platform for the Indian Premier League. Among the newcomers this season is Kane Williamson, a two-time IPL champion from New Zealand. The broadcasts will be available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Sixteen digital feeds will also be offered, with coverage in twelve languages such as Marathi, Bengali, and Punjabi. New features for IPL 2025 include multi-cam feeds and a special feed for families called "Motu Patlu present Super Funday." This segment will feature the popular cartoon characters Motu and Patlu as commentators, providing a fun twist to the viewing experience. Fans can also enjoy a Hangout feed, featuring commentary from popular stand-up comedians and content creators for a lighter, more entertaining take on the matches. A representative from JioStar called this season a milestone celebration, promising top-tier talent and innovations to match the league's excitement.
