IPL 2025 mega auction kicks off in Jeddah with top players on the block

The IPL 2025 mega auction is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25. This is the second auction held outside India, following last year's event in Dubai. A total of 574 players have been selected from 1,574 candidates. The list includes 208 international players and 318 uncapped Indian players. High-profile stars like Rishabh Pant and K.L. Rahul are expected to attract significant bids. Franchises have a combined budget of ₹641.5 crore for 204 available slots, with 70 reserved for overseas players. Punjab Kings has the largest remaining budget at ₹110.5 crore after retaining 46 players.
