IPL Fan Parks to expand to 50 cities nationwide
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the return of IPL Fan Parks for the 2025 cricket season. These parks will be set up in 50 cities across 23 states and one union territory in India. The events aim to bring the excitement of IPL matches closer to fans and will run for 10 weekends, starting on March 22 and ending May 25. The Fan Parks will feature live screenings of matches, music, entertainment, and various activities. Fans can enjoy food courts, a kids' play zone, and interactive experiences, including a virtual batting zone and face-painting areas. The parks provide a lively atmosphere to celebrate cricket, making fans feel like they’re part of the action. Some of the first locations for the Fan Parks include Rohtak, Bikaner, Gangtok, Kochi, and Coimbatore. For the first time, the event will also take place in Kakinada, Dimapur, Karaikal, and a few other cities. Each weekend, multiple Fan Parks will take place simultaneously across different regions, ensuring that many fans can participate. IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal stated that these Fan Parks are essential for bringing cricket closer to fans in India. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia emphasized the initiative's success since it began in 2015, aiming to create unforgettable experiences for millions of fans. The 2025 schedule, covering 50 cities, is set to enhance the excitement and passion for cricket across the country.
