IPR importance emphasized at Madanapalle Institute of Technology
The Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) launched the Intellectual Property (IP) Yatra programme on Friday. N. Vijaya Bhaskar Chowdhury, the MITS correspondent, and J.A. Chowdary, the founder of the International Startup Foundation (ISF), participated in the inauguration. Mr. Chowdary spoke about the significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). He noted that IPR is crucial for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. He encouraged students to think of themselves as potential job creators. He also mentioned the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and financial support. During the event, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed to create a new artificial intelligence (AI) venture studio at MITS. C. Yuvaraj, MITS principal, shared that the institute collaborates with over 100 industries and has multiple patents resulting from its research efforts. The event attracted over 500 participants, including students, faculty, industrialists, and researchers, who displayed their innovative projects.
