The incident happened around 9 PM near the Sangsawan Palace Resort. Reports indicate that Neil suffered severe neck injuries from the collision. Emergency services took him to Khao Lak Medical Centre, where he later died. Local police responded to the scene and are investigating the crash. The driver of the SUV is cooperating with authorities. The Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland has confirmed it is aware of the situation and is providing support to the family. However, a spokesperson said they cannot share specific details about the case.
