Isaiah Fields sentenced to 25 years for rape

Isaiah Fields, 23, was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping and impregnating a severely disabled woman in 2023. He worked as a caregiver at Marklund's Hyde Center in Illinois. The victim, a 43-year-old woman with Rett syndrome, was discovered to be pregnant during a hospital visit in April 2024. She suffered from preeclampsia and underwent an emergency Caesarean section, but the baby did not survive. Fields was arrested after DNA evidence linked him to the pregnancy. He must serve at least 85% of his sentence before being eligible for parole and is registered as a sex offender for life.
