Israel conducts airstrikes in Gaza and Lebanon after ICC issues arrest warrants
Israel conducted airstrikes in Gaza and southern Lebanon on Friday, following the International Criminal Court's issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli leaders over alleged war crimes. The health ministry in Gaza warned that hospitals have only two days of fuel left. The UN reported that aid delivery to Gaza is severely hindered, with critical supplies like food and water running low. Israeli forces claimed to have killed two Hamas commanders involved in the October 7 attack that escalated the conflict. The ICC also issued a warrant for Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, citing war crimes. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with over 44,000 reported dead in Gaza and more than 3,580 in Lebanon since late September.
