Israel conducts extensive strikes in Syria to target weapons after Assad's fall
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it conducted strikes on 320 strategic targets in Syria over the weekend. This operation, named Bashan Arrow, aims to prevent weapons from reaching Hezbollah and other groups following the fall of Bashar al-Assad. The IDF reported that over 70% of Assad's military capabilities have been destroyed. The strikes targeted air defenses, missile depots, and various military assets across Syria, including naval vessels and chemical weapon sites. In total, the operation involved more than 350 aerial strikes and ground attacks on key military structures. The IDF also deployed troops to the Golan Heights buffer zone as part of this operation.
