Israel expands military operations and issues new evacuations

Israeli military forces are intensifying their offensive in Gaza. They have gained control of more territory and moved their operations to new areas in both the northern and southern parts of the region. On Sunday, Israel announced that its troops are now operating in Beit Hanoun, a northern area of Gaza. The objective is to create a larger buffer zone. The military has also increased airstrikes targeting Hamas infrastructure. As part of this operation, Israel issued new evacuation orders. Residents of the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah were told to leave on foot along designated routes. Vehicles are not allowed. The Rafah municipality reported that thousands of families are being forced to flee during heavy bombardment. Many are now homeless and struggling with a lack of basic supplies and shelter. The municipality attributes these difficulties to the Israeli government's closure of crossings into Gaza.
