Israeli airstrikes kill 10 in Gaza as military operations intensify
Israeli airstrikes in Gaza on Monday killed at least 10 Palestinians, with seven fatalities in Beit Lahiya and three in Nuseirat camp. Several others were wounded in these attacks, which followed the deployment of Israeli tanks in the region.
Since October 5, Israel has intensified its military operations in northern Gaza to prevent Hamas from regrouping. The Hamas-run Gaza government claims that over 1,800 Palestinians have died since then, while Israel disputes these figures, stating it has targeted Hamas militants.
The conflict escalated after a Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which resulted in around 1,200 Israeli deaths. Israeli retaliatory strikes have reportedly killed over 43,300 Palestinians, according to Gaza authorities.
