Israeli airstrikes kill 12 in Gaza as aid supplies dwindle
Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed at least 12 Palestinians on Monday, with fears of intensified attacks aimed at displacing civilians. The strikes included an assault on two houses in Beit Lahiya and ongoing bombardment of Kamal Adwan Hospital.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees reported a significant reduction in aid trucks entering Gaza, now averaging 30 per day, which is only 6% of pre-war levels. This has worsened shortages of food and medical supplies, despite Israel's denial of scaling back aid.
Israel claims to be evacuating patients from hospitals and delivering supplies, while asserting efforts to protect civilians during its operations against Hamas. The Hamas-run Gaza government reports over 1,800 Palestinians killed since October 5, amid ongoing conflict.
