Israeli students launch nine satellites into space
Israeli high school students successfully launched nine miniature satellites into space as part of the Tevel 2 project. This initiative, led by the Israel Space Agency, aims to promote scientific education and innovation across various communities. The satellites were launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base. They will orbit approximately 500 km above Earth for about three years, measuring cosmic radiation and its effects on electronics. The Tevel 2 project, costing about 2.88 million dollars, connects different Israeli communities and enhances opportunities in science and technology education. It includes setting up satellite communication stations for students to track mission data.
