ISRO launches Europe's Proba-3 mission for solar research from Sriharikota
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch the European Space Agency's Proba-3 mission today, December 4, from its Sriharikota spaceport. The launch will occur at 4:08 PM IST using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). Proba-3 is an "In-Orbit Demonstration" mission aimed at enhancing solar research and understanding space weather. This mission is a collaboration between ESA and ISRO's commercial arm, NewSpace India Limited. The satellites will enter high Earth orbit after launch, providing valuable data for ESA scientists studying solar phenomena. This mission underscores the importance of international cooperation in advancing space research.
