ISRO postpones PSLV-C59 Proba-3 launch to December 5 due to anomaly
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has postponed the launch of its PSLV-C59/Proba-3 mission from December 4 to December 5. The change follows the detection of an anomaly before the originally scheduled liftoff at 4:08 PM. The mission will deploy two satellites, the Coronagraph Spacecraft and the Occulter Spacecraft, in a stacked configuration. Weighing about 550 kg, they will be placed in a highly elliptical orbit. ISRO's PSLV has a strong track record since its first successful launch in 1994. The vehicle will carry a payload of around 320 tonnes during its four-stage launch sequence.
