Jack Nguyen charged with murder after cousin's stabbing

Jack Nguyen, 30, has been charged with open murder for allegedly stabbing his cousin, Travis Nguyen, 48, at a nail salon in Alma, Michigan. The incident took place at the LA Nails salon on Wednesday afternoon during a verbal argument that escalated into violence. Travis Nguyen, who was also known as Steve and owned the salon, suffered around 50 stab wounds and was declared dead at the scene. Court records show that Jack Nguyen was on probation for a misdemeanor when he entered the salon. When sheriff deputies arrived, they found Jack sitting calmly on a bench outside the salon. He was arrested and is currently held at the Gratiot County Jail without bail. Jack Nguyen is scheduled for court appearances on April 3 and April 10. Investigators have not yet determined what led to the argument or the motive behind the stabbing.
