Jackie Farry, a music industry veteran and former nanny to Frances Bean Cobain, died on January 12 at age 58 due to lung disease complications. Her death was confirmed by friend Janet Billig Rich. Farry began her career in the 1980s at Homestead Records and later worked at Atlantic and Epic Records. She managed tours for several indie rock bands in the 1990s, including the Lemonheads and Stereolab. Farry was diagnosed with cancer in 2003, prompting friends to organize benefit shows for her.
