Filipino American actor Jacob Batalon has a new role in the action-comedy film "Novocaine." Batalon, known for his character Ned Leeds in the Spider-Man and Avengers films, stars alongside Jack Quaid, son of actors Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. The film premiered on March 10, 2025, at the Paramount Theatre in Los Angeles. Batalon shared photos from the event on Instagram, expressing excitement for the film's release. "Novocaine" hit theaters on March 14 and features a mix of thrilling stunts and humor. In the movie, Quaid plays Nathan Caine, a man who cannot feel pain. When his girlfriend is kidnapped, he uses this unique condition to confront danger. Batalon portrays Nathan's best friend, bringing comedic relief and loyalty to the storyline. His character humorously resembles actor Jason Momoa, which Batalon found entertaining. The film opened strong at the box office, earning $8.7 million over the weekend. Dennis Quaid praised his son's success, highlighting the accomplishment as a significant milestone.
