Jacqui Burfoot struggled with mental health during filming
Jacqui Burfoot, a participant on "Married At First Sight," shared her struggle with mental health during the show's filming. In a recent interview, the 29-year-old revealed that she considered quitting because she felt very unwell. Jacqui said she often cried and locked herself in a room, feeling unable to make decisions. She opened up about her feelings of confusion and sadness during the process. According to Jacqui, approaching the end of filming, she almost left but was persuaded by a producer to stay for the final episodes. Reflecting on the experience, she described watching the show as "extremely difficult" due to how her emotions were portrayed. Jacqui also addressed controversy regarding her living situation during a recent episode. She rented an expensive Airbnb instead of showing her real home, citing security and privacy as her reasons. Jacqui explained that "Homestays Week" was more about the activities couples do together rather than showcasing their homes. She emphasized that the settings used for filming were decorated hotel rooms, not real apartments. The realities of her experience and subsequent editing have left Jacqui feeling embarrassed, calling the final edit a "sick joke" that misrepresented her emotions.
