Jadeja nearing milestone of 3,000 runs in IPL
Ravindra Jadeja is set to make history in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The all-rounder for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been a standout player in the league. He has consistently performed well in various roles, proving to be a valuable asset to every team he has played for. Jadeja will return to the field when CSK plays its first match of IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians on March 23. This will be the 12th season for Jadeja with CSK. He has the chance to achieve a significant milestone by becoming the first all-rounder in IPL history to score 3,000 runs and take 150 wickets. Currently, he needs only 41 runs to reach the 3,000-run mark. Jadeja started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and was part of the team that won the first season. He played for Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011, then joined CSK in 2012. After a brief stint with Gujarat Lions, he returned to CSK in 2018 and has remained with the team ever since. He briefly served as CSK captain in 2022 but was replaced after struggling with the team’s performance. However, he remained with CSK and played a crucial role in their fifth title win in 2023. Leading up to IPL 2025, Jadeja was one of CSK’s highest-paid players, retained at Rs 18 crore.
