Jaden Noot excels in LSU's 11-1 victory over UNO

Jaden Noot made a strong return to the mound as LSU defeated UNO 11-1 in a seven-inning game on Tuesday. Noot, a highly regarded recruit from California, had faced several injuries that kept him from starting until now. Despite a shaky beginning, Noot regained his confidence and pitched four solid innings. He allowed one earned run and struck out five batters, showcasing his skills that made him the top prospect when he joined LSU. His fastball reached speeds of 93 mph and he effectively used his sinker during the game. Relief pitcher Jacob Mayers followed Noot and continued the strong performance. He struck out four batters in 1.2 scoreless innings. Freshman Cooper Williams also contributed by throwing 1.1 scoreless innings to close out the game. LSU's offense was impressive, led by junior Jared Jones who recorded four hits, including a 450-foot home run. The team had multiple extra-base hits and capitalized on walks and hit batsmen to score runs. Freshman Cade Arrambide and junior Ethan Frey also added home runs to boost LSU's lead. With this victory, LSU improved its overall record. The team will continue Southeastern Conference play on Friday against Texas, with the game scheduled for 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
