Jaipur bus operators oppose relocation to Transport Nagar
In Jaipur, private bus operators are refusing to use a new bus stand at Transport Nagar. They are confused by the state government's decision to move the bus stand from Narayan Singh Circle to this new location on Delhi Road. The operators have declared that if police do not allow them to stop at Narayan Singh Circle, they will skip the transport stand entirely and continue to their final destinations, picking up passengers along the way. Satyanarayan Sahu, president of the Bus Operators' Association, said they have not received any official notice about the government's change. The information is coming only from news reports. He added that the operators plan to begin their routes from Sindhi Camp instead of the new designated stand. The Traffic Control Board decided to move the bus stand to reduce congestion at Narayan Singh Circle. Authorities have identified two areas for the bus stands: one on Delhi Road for private buses and another on Agra Road for state-run transportation. Passengers are feeling lost with the changes. Abhinash Saini, a resident of Malviya Nagar, expressed his confusion about where to catch his bus to Delhi. Different bus operators are giving conflicting information about pickup locations, telling passengers to wait at various spots, including Narayan Singh Circle, Tri Murti Circle, or the Gurudwara Crossing in Transport Nagar. Amidst the chaos, the Sindhi Camp area remains a reliable option for passengers. Many buses heading towards Delhi Road and Agra Road depart from there, providing a straightforward solution without any restrictions. According to Satnam Singh, a booking officer, passengers will have plenty of choices and should head there to avoid confusion.
