Jaipur centers issue faulty vehicle fitness certificates
A recent inspection by the Jaipur-II Regional Transport Office (RTO) revealed serious issues with the issuance of fitness certificates for vehicles. Transport department officials discovered that some private centres were giving these certificates without proper checks. During the inspection, a mini truck was found in very poor condition in the Vidhyadhar Nagar area. This truck had been issued a fitness certificate just the day before. The vehicle was traveling from Vishwakarma Industrial Area toward Chandpole when officials noticed its bad state. The truck had received its fitness certificate on March 18 from an authorized centre on Ajmer Road. However, when inspected, the vehicle's condition was deemed completely unsatisfactory. Authorities have identified that many private fitness testing centres are not following necessary rules and are certifying vehicles that are unfit for the road. In response, transport officials announced that they would take action against these fitness centres for their negligence.
