Jaishankar urges resilient supply chains with Latin America
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke about the need for strong and dependable supply chains. He made these comments during the 10th CII India-LAC Business Conclave in New Delhi. Jaishankar noted that the world is facing uncertain times due to the ongoing effects of the COVID pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine. The minister suggested several ways to enhance cooperation, such as increasing technology sharing, aligning regulations, and promoting the movement of skilled workers. He also emphasized the role of Latin America and the Caribbean in global food security, noting their capacity to produce food for the world. In addition to food security, Jaishankar pointed out the importance of energy security. He mentioned that areas like mining, infrastructure, and defense should also be explored for collaboration.
