Jaishankar warns of AI dangers and risks of weaponized globalization at New Delhi conference

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar warned that artificial intelligence (AI) poses significant dangers, comparable to nuclear weapons. Speaking at the Kautilya Economic Conclave in New Delhi, he emphasized AI's potential long-term impact on the global ecosystem. Jaishankar also highlighted the risks of weaponizing globalization in the coming decade. He criticized the United Nations for failing to adapt to modern challenges, likening it to an outdated business model that does not respond to current global dynamics. He pointed out that the UN has been ineffective in addressing ongoing conflicts, such as those in Ukraine and the Middle East, describing it as merely a bystander in these crises.
