James Van Der Beek reunites with 'Dawson’s Creek' cast
James Van Der Beek recently shared that he and his "Dawson's Creek" co-stars have reconnected after years of silence. The popular teen drama aired from 1998 to 2003, featuring Van Der Beek as Dawson Leery, along with Joshua Jackson, Katie Holmes, and Michelle Williams. In a podcast interview, Van Der Beek expressed how wonderful it has been to catch up with his former castmates. He noted that they had drifted apart over the years as they focused on their individual lives. However, reconnecting has been a positive experience for him, especially as he is currently battling cancer. Van Der Beek reflected on the nostalgia he feels for the show and appreciated that fans remain invested in the characters' stories. When asked about the series finale, where Joey chooses Pacey over Dawson, he admitted he didn't have strong feelings about the ending. Jackson, on the other hand, openly supported the conclusion, claiming it was a more interesting path for the characters. Aside from his work, Van Der Beek has been navigating personal challenges. He married Kimberly in 2010 and they have six children together. He has also been candid about his recent colorectal cancer diagnosis, stating he is receiving support from his family and feels optimistic about the future.
