J&K Police seize ₹75 lakh from drug peddlers
Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken significant action against drug trafficking in Anantnag district. They attached properties worth ₹75 lakh owned by two drug peddlers. The police targeted Tariq Ahmad Lone, who lives in Satkipora. They confiscated a concrete plinth and one kanal of land from him. This property is valued at around ₹60 lakh and was identified as acquired through illegal drug activities. Lone is linked to an ongoing case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. In another case, police in Bijbehara attached several commercial shops owned by Gulzar Ahmad Rather from Waghama. This property, valued at ₹15 lakh, was also linked to drug-related activities. This action is part of the authorities' efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
